Michael Cockaerts's late challenge caught a Saints Football Club's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Michael Cockaerts helped the player get up and apologised. After some careless play in the Heiende defense, Christian Van Meerbeek kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Carlos Van Lint. The Heiende fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Carlos Van Lint should have stopped the shot. Maxim-Alexander Elsens hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. 19 minutes into the match, Floris Wiechgers had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Yanick Waegemans. Saints Football Club's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Floris Wiechgers was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. After a rather tough play, Heiende's Floris Wiechgers got a free kick in the 27th minute. 31 minutes into the match, Saints Football Club's goal looked a bit too open when Robben Tilemans came free, but Yanick Waegemans reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With his leg Carlos Van Lint managed to avoid a goal in the 34thth minute, when Saints Football Club's Christian Van Meerbeek fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Carlos Van Lint didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Christian Van Meerbeek went, in the 37th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-1 was the resulting score. Christoffel Clinckspoor fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carlos Van Lint having to interfere. Christian Van Meerbeek sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Heiende getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Michael Cockaerts hit a great ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-1 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Matthis Allaert made a kick off. Christian Van Meerbeek succeeded in the game's 51st minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 4-1. Carlos Van Lint showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Christoffel Clinckspoor, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Heiende's zone, Christian Van Meerbeek stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Carlos Van Lint came out of the goal and Christian Van Meerbeek tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 62 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when Saints Football Club's Maxim-Alexander Elsens fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. Saints Football Club's Tommy De Scheper was substituted for Maxim-Alexander Elsens. Saints Football Club's Cederic Delen was substituted for Christian Van Meerbeek. In the 67th match minute, Saints Football Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tadeusz Cichowski to maneuver through the defense. 68 minutes into the game, Robben Tilemans was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Heiende's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Saints Football Club the free kick. When the referee ended the match the Saints Football Club players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
