Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Berten Colebrandts kicked off to start the match. In the 5thth minute of the game Jeoffrey Rombouts who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Grimbergen's Axel De Coster was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 9 minutes into the game, Kasper Leers was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Grimbergen's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Rudi the free kick. After 9 played minutes Grimbergen got a freekick which was hit by Kasper Leers. Jeoffrey Rombouts sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Jon Ronsman came up free with the goalie in the 15th minute, the Grimbergen fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jon Ronsman couldn't finish the play. After 16 played minutes Grimbergen got a freekick which was hit by Kasper Leers. When Rudi's Jeoffrey Rombouts, in the 17th minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for Rudi. When Henry Liboton came up free with the goalie in the 19th minute, the Rudi fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Henry Liboton couldn't finish the play. Jeoffrey Rombouts sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 24 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when Rudi's Jeoffrey Rombouts fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. Axel De Coster came out of the goal in the 28th minute to try and stop a shot by Rudi's Jeoffrey Rombouts. But to his dismay, Jeoffrey Rombouts quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Ubaldo Orlo kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. Stefaan Helssens fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tony Paaps having to interfere. When Kasper Leers was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 47 minutes had been played. Kasper Leers kicked well hit freekick during the 48th minute of the match. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jeoffrey Rombouts was the one to do the kick off. In the 57th minute Stefaan Helssens shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tony Paaps saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Grimbergen booed when Rudi was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dyllan Van Den Eynde didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 59 played minutes, Grimbergen's Jacque Spoelberghe shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Tony Paaps came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Grimbergen reached it. After 60 played minutes Rudi got a freekick which was hit by Edmond Spoelbergs. Tony Paaps took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Stefaan Helssens, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Axel De Coster stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jeoffrey Rombouts's shot from short distance in the 67th minute. Tony Paaps showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fransesco Van Kelf in the 68th minute of the match. When the match had gone on for 71 minutes, Edmond Spoelbergs took a quick shot and it went in 0-2 without a chance for Axel De Coster to make any attempt to save it. A collision led to Rudi getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Arnauld Straetmans hit a great ball. 75 minutes into the match, Grimbergen's Jacque Spoelberghe broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Grimbergen's Stefaan Helssens got a good chance for a goal in the 78th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to Grimbergen getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Jon Ronsman hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Stefaan Helssens in the 84th minute of play forced Rudi's goalkeeper Tony Paaps to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 86 minutes into the match, Nico Van der Veeren had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Axel De Coster. Grimbergen's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Nico Van der Veeren was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. The throw-in from Tibo De Becker in the 90th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Rudi's Dyllan Van Den Eynde. The supporters of Grimbergen booed when Rudi was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jeoffrey Rombouts didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rudi played a much better game than Grimbergen and deserved their victory. The Grimbergen players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
