In the 12th minute Jeoffrey Rombouts shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Floris Jooris saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Jeoffrey Rombouts came up free with the goalie in the 14th minute, the Rudi fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jeoffrey Rombouts couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Rudi booed when Froid-Chapelle was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edwin Klinkenberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 21st minute, Raimond Ladva made a precise shot to the right of Tony Paaps. Rudi's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. In the 23rd minute, Floris Jespers hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Pattharawut Soisuwan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. Raimond Ladva fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tony Paaps having to interfere. After 70 minutes of play, Rudi's Edmond Spoelbergs made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Floris Jooris was left in no man's land by his defense there! Rudi's Tony Paaps played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Thibaud Holemans in the 73rd minute of play. In the 75th minute Edmond Spoelbergs shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Floris Jooris saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Pattharawut Soisuwan could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 77th minute of the match, but Tony Paaps made a huge save. Jeoffrey Rombouts sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. During the 85th minute of the match Edwin Klinkenberg completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Edwin Klinkenberg a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game.
