Jonas Van Acht sent away a hard shot on goal in the 3rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 5 minutes into the match, FC Boomerang's goal looked a bit too open when Jozef De Prins came free, but Etienne Lyens reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 11th match minute, Drongen was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jonas Van Acht to maneuver through the defense. Etienne Lyens took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jozef De Prins, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Etienne Lyens made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jozef De Prins in the 16th minute of play. Joseph De Weerdt hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. Octavian Wijngaerts took the ball and in the 20 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Etienne Lyens. Etienne Lyens dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. 25 minutes into the match, FC Boomerang's goal looked a bit too open when Jonas Van Acht came free, but Etienne Lyens reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Etienne Lyens showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jonas Van Acht in the 34th minute of the match. Maxim Tuerlinckx sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Jonas Van Acht received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Etienne Lyens tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Maxim Tuerlinckx charged in rather forcefully in the 41st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Maxim Tuerlinckx the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. When the match clock showed 46 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Jonas Van Acht sped through FC Boomerang's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Etienne Lyens. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Jonas Van Acht made the kick off in the second half. Etienne Lyens showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jozef De Prins, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. Through an outstanding action, after 58 minutes, Etienne Lyens successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. With a little luck, FC Boomerang's Etienne Lyens got control of the ball when Jozef De Prins tried to sneak it across the goal line. Jasper Huijsmans recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 66th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jozef De Prins could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 71st minute of the match, but Etienne Lyens made a huge save. Etienne Lyens showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fredrik Verhofstadt, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. Jonas Van Acht fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Etienne Lyens having to interfere. With a little luck, FC Boomerang's Etienne Lyens got control of the ball when Jozef De Prins tried to sneak it across the goal line. Drongen's Kris Smeyers played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Maxim Tuerlinckx in the 86th minute of play. Etienne Lyens showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Octavian Wijngaerts in the 91st minute of the match. In the 92nd match minute, FC Boomerang was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hannes Le Lion to maneuver through the defense. In the 97th minute, Jozef De Prins fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Etienne Lyens, passed just outside the right post.
