Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Vodelee's Guust Francken started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Vodelee's Diederick Vereeken proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 4th minute of the match, managed to save Vodelee from getting a goal against them. 7 minutes into the match, Vodelee's goalkeeper Diederick Vereeken had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Stig Polmach. If Guust Francken had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Vodelee's Diederick Vereeken got control of the ball when Johan Clinckspoor tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a rather tough play, Vodelee's Jamie De Koning got a free kick in the 11th minute. In the 17th minute, Zelzate's Stig Polmach dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. Stig Polmach could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 21st minute of the match, but Diederick Vereeken made a huge save. In the 22nd minute, Jorg Maeijnaerts hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Guust Francken had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 29 minutes into the match, Vodelee's goal looked a bit too open when Stig Polmach came free, but Diederick Vereeken reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Johan Clinckspoor kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Diederick Vereeken. That made the score 2-0 in the 31 minute of play. Guust Francken recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 40th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some careless play in the Vodelee defense, Johan Clinckspoor kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Diederick Vereeken. The Vodelee fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Diederick Vereeken should have stopped the shot. Zelzate's Ief Valckenaers got a good chance for a goal in the 46th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Stig Polmach made a kick off. Dimitris Germanos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Guust Francken in the 51st minute of play. Diederick Vereeken showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dimitry Hally in the 55th minute of the match. 56 minutes into the match, Vodelee's goal looked a bit too open when Dimitry Hally came free, but Diederick Vereeken reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Diederick Vereeken showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Stig Polmach, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. Diederick Vereeken didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Stig Polmach went, in the 60th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-0 was the resulting score. After 63 minutes of play, Zelzate's Stig Polmach made it 5-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Diederick Vereeken was left in no man's land by his defense there! Diederick Vereeken came out of the goal in the 67th minute to try and stop a shot by Zelzate's Stig Polmach. But to his dismay, Stig Polmach quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 6-0. Diederick Vereeken made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Stig Polmach in the 71st minute of play. Johan Clinckspoor scored 8-0 in the 77th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Diederick Vereeken, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 82nd minute Stig Polmach shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Diederick Vereeken saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Diederick Vereeken made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Johan Clinckspoor in the 83rd minute of play. 84 minutes into the match, Vodelee's goal looked a bit too open when Johan Clinckspoor came free, but Diederick Vereeken reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Johan Clinckspoor in the 89th minute of play forced Vodelee's goalkeeper Diederick Vereeken to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Guust Francken came up free with the goalie in the 90th minute, the Vodelee fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Guust Francken couldn't finish the play. Diederick Vereeken showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Johan Clinckspoor in the 93rd minute of the match. Guust Francken could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 95th minute of the match, but Dimitris Germanos made a huge save. Zelzate's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
