Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Lucien De Witte started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. 4 minutes into the match, Lucien De Witte notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Abeelhoek's Kristof Vaes. Kristof Vaes was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Kristof Vaes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lucien De Witte, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 23 minutes of play, Karşıyaka SK's Lucien De Witte made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Kristof Vaes was left in no man's land by his defense there! 33 minutes into the match, Karşıyaka SK's goal looked a bit too open when Sammy Vinck came free, but İnanç İdrisoğlu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Abeelhoek's Sammy Vinck got a free kick in the 37th minute. Cesar Pelsmaeckers struck a weak shot in the 40th minute. Kristof Vaes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Karşıyaka SK. Abeelhoek's Ive Wortelers got a good chance for a goal in the 42nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Lucien De Witte received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Kristof Vaes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Kristof Vaes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lucien De Witte, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Sammy Vinck made a kick off. If Lucien De Witte had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 59 played minutes, Abeelhoek's Hugo Oelaerts shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper İnanç İdrisoğlu came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Abeelhoek reached it. When Abel Vinckx fell near the penalty area in the 61st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Abeelhoek's protests and gave Abel Vinckx a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Abeelhoek's Abel Vinckx got a free kick in the 61st minute. After some careless play in the Karşıyaka SK defense, Viktor Pannekoek kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of İnanç İdrisoğlu. The Karşıyaka SK fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that İnanç İdrisoğlu should have stopped the shot. When the match had gone on for 73 minutes, Lucien De Witte took a quick shot and it went in 1-3 without a chance for Kristof Vaes to make any attempt to save it. Kristof Vaes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lucien De Witte in the 83rd minute of play. A collision led to Abeelhoek getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Abel Vinckx hit a great ball. In the 86th minute, Abel Vinckx hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. İnanç İdrisoğlu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Viktor Pannekoek in the 95th minute of the match. Kristof Vaes was a little too slow when Lucien De Witte got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 96th minute. The score was now 1-5. The Abeelhoek fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Karşıyaka SK were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
