Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Cederique Van den Hond started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Jan-Joost Van den Paenhuysen kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. Lorenz Petermans received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Erik De Clerk tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mattijs Vleminx in the 20th minute of play forced Battice's goalkeeper Carel Coche to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Marnix Van Hoeijveldt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Cederique Van den Hond blasted a shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Erik De Clerk having to make a save. After 25 minutes of play, Battice's Marnix Van Hoeijveldt made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Erik De Clerk was left in no man's land by his defense there! KV Velvain's Erik De Clerk played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lorenz Petermans in the 31st minute of play. 33 minutes into the match, KV Velvain's goal looked a bit too open when Cederique Van den Hond came free, but Erik De Clerk reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Battice getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Joost Van Aghten hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, KV Velvain's Leon Verhulst got a free kick in the 37th minute. Battice's Carel Coche proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 41st minute of the match, managed to save Battice from getting a goal against them. Carel Coche showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tristan Van den Panhuizen, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. In the 43rd minute, Leon Verhulst hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 48th minute, KV Velvain's Mattijs Vleminx dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-2. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Mattijs Vleminx to strike the kick off in the second half. The supporters of KV Velvain booed when Battice was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jan-Joost Van den Paenhuysen didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 70th minute Reinard Correyns shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carel Coche saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 76th minute, Battice's Gilles Plancke seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Gilles Plancke the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Battice protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Gilles Plancke had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. After 75 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Battice! After 90 played minutes Battice got a freekick which was hit by Armand Tubbackx. Armand Tubbackx kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. After having played for 97 minutes, Mattijs Vleminx managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. KV Velvain's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mattijs Vleminx was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 99th minute, Leon Verhulst hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
