Conrad Schollens received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Hans Bastin came out and tried to block the shot, but Conrad Schollens slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 19th minute. Pino Bauweleerss short, quick shot in the 23rdth minute got Hans Bastin to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Roger Vissenaeckens received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Luke Van den Panhuizen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. AFC Alster's Luke Van den Panhuizen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tobias Van Deijck in the 27th minute of play. In the 28th minute the ball was on its way in behind AFC Alster's goalkeeper Luke Van den Panhuizen, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Conrad Schollens had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pino Bauweleers might have been able to make a better finish in the 35th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Hans Bastin. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Pino Bauweleers ran back to his position shaking his head. Conrad Schollens fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hans Bastin having to interfere. In the 43rdth minute of the game Tobias Van Deijck who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but AFC Alster's Luke Van den Panhuizen was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 44 minutes into the game, Abel Van Camp was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Hody's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave AFC Alster the free kick. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tobias Van Deijck stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute, Tobias Van Deijck got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Pino Bauweleers took the ball and in the 57 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Hans Bastin. Hans Bastin dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. Conrad Schollens fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hans Bastin having to interfere. Tobias Van Deijck fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luke Van den Panhuizen having to interfere. Roger Vissenaeckens's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Luke Van den Panhuizen read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 66th minute of play. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. AFC Alster fully deserved thier win.
