Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Embourg's Jannick Libesoons started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Gustave Rondou fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Floris Francx having to interfere. 7 minutes into the match, VC Nieuwpoort's Sylvain Wolfdoncx sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Floris Francx narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 8 minutes into the match, Embourg's goal looked a bit too open when Sylvain Wolfdoncx came free, but Floris Francx reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gustave Rondou got free with Floris Francx in the 11th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Embourg's Floris Francx played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sylvain Wolfdoncx in the 20th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Embourg's zone, Gustave Rondou stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Floris Francx came out of the goal and Gustave Rondou tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Sylvain Wolfdoncx received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Floris Francx tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tibo Descamps's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Mathieu Bruyninckx read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 29th minute of play. Floris Francx made an important save on a dangerous shot by Johnny Sustens in the 35th minute. Steffe Huijghens hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. Sylvain Wolfdoncx received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Floris Francx tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 40thth minute of the game Sylvain Wolfdoncx who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Embourg's Floris Francx was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 43rd minute the ball was on its way in behind VC Nieuwpoort's goalkeeper Mathieu Bruyninckx, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Jannick Libesoons had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Sylvain Wolfdoncx stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Jannick Libesoons received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Mathieu Bruyninckx tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Steffe Huijghens fell near the penalty area in the 60th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Embourg's protests and gave Steffe Huijghens a yellow card for diving instead. In the 60th match minute, Embourg was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Steffe Huijghens to maneuver through the defense. Gustave Rondou received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Floris Francx tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jannick Libesoons sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 68 played minutes VC Nieuwpoort got a freekick which was hit by Bernt Steuckens. Gustave Rondou recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 73rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jannick Libesoons received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Mathieu Bruyninckx tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Jim Sterks fell near the penalty area in the 82nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored VC Nieuwpoort's protests and gave Jim Sterks a yellow card for diving instead. In the 82nd minute, Jim Sterks hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 84th minute of the match Tibo Descamps shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Mathieu Bruyninckx showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 91st minute, Sylvain Wolfdoncx managed to get in a good position for a shot. VC Nieuwpoort's supporters rose to their feet, but Sylvain Wolfdoncx was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Floris Francx breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jannick Libesoons might have been able to make a better finish in the 94th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Mathieu Bruyninckx. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jannick Libesoons ran back to his position shaking his head. Mathieu Bruyninckx came out of the goal in the 97th minute to try and stop a shot by Embourg's Stephen De Meyer. But to his dismay, Stephen De Meyer quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2.
