Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Conrad Van Meerbeec got the match started through his kick off. Bill Vereeken could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 6th minute of the match, but Hans Valcke made a huge save. The supporters of KFC Beyne-Heusay booed when Atletico Berchem was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jo Sempels didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 16th minute Wart Engelberchs shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hans Valcke saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 20 played minutes Atletico Berchem got a freekick which was hit by Louis Suteweij. Bill Vereeken could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 23rd minute of the match, but Hans Valcke made a huge save. 25 minutes into the game, Niel De Coster was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Atletico Berchem's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave KFC Beyne-Heusay the free kick. After 25 played minutes Atletico Berchem got a freekick which was hit by Niel De Coster. Atletico Berchem's Giovanni Rijniers suffered a sore thigh after 26 minutes and couldn't finish the game. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Bill Vereeken during the 26th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, KFC Beyne-Heusay's Bill Vereeken got a free kick in the 28th minute. After a defensive mix-up in KFC Beyne-Heusay's zone, Conrad Van Meerbeec stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kenney Hoeybroeck came out of the goal and Conrad Van Meerbeec tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Conrad Van Meerbeec sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Koen Hennes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 34th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Teo Van Aertvin fell near the penalty area in the 48th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored KFC Beyne-Heusay's protests and gave Teo Van Aertvin a yellow card for diving instead. Teo Van Aertvin kicked well hit freekick during the 48th minute of the match.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Wart Engelberchs made a kick off. Koen Hennes charged in rather forcefully in the 56th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Koen Hennes the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of KFC Beyne-Heusay booed when Atletico Berchem was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Koen Hennes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Atletico Berchem's Hans Valcke played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Laurence Pelsers in the 57th minute of play. Conrad Van Meerbeecs short, quick shot in the 61stth minute got Kenney Hoeybroeck to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. A collision led to Atletico Berchem getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Guust Colebinders hit a great ball. In the 69th match minute, Atletico Berchem was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emmanuel De Boel to maneuver through the defense. 73 minutes into the match, Bill Vereeken had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Hans Valcke. Atletico Berchem's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Bill Vereeken was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. Atletico Berchem's Conrad Van Meerbeec got a good chance for a goal in the 78th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Koen Hennes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 80th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Conrad Van Meerbeec fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kenney Hoeybroeck having to interfere. Kenney Hoeybroeck showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Conrad Van Meerbeec in the 87th minute of the match. KFC Beyne-Heusay's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Conrad Van Meerbeec 94 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 2-1. In the 97th match minute, Atletico Berchem was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Conrad Van Meerbeec to maneuver through the defense. KFC Beyne-Heusay's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
