Brasschaat's supporters crossed their fingers, but Robbie Portmans was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 32nd minute, Brasschaat's Kristen Van Der Talen ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Bas De Wortelaer. Frederic Mallecots showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Steve Schaerlaekens in the 35th minute of the match. Ricky Van Acht, 87 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. 89 minutes into the match, FC Verberckt's goal looked a bit too open when Robbie Portmans came free, but Bas De Wortelaer reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 93rd minute, Steve Schaerlaekens ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Frederic Mallecots was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1.
