Bredene's Octavian Ramps got a good chance for a goal in the 10th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 22nd match minute, KFC Herdersem was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Klaus Maseur to maneuver through the defense. In the 29th match minute, Bredene was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ignace Sellekaerts to maneuver through the defense. Robben Dewolf showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Robert Van Der Eyde in the 31st minute of the match. The supporters of Bredene booed when KFC Herdersem was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lukas Clement didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Bredene getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. William Milters hit a great ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gunther De Kerper to make the kick off. Joerie Uijtterhoven's late challenge caught a Bredene's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Joerie Uijtterhoven helped the player get up and apologised. Filip Pietrowicz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gunther De Kerper, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 62 minutes into the match, Bredene's goal looked a bit too open when Robert Van Der Eyde came free, but Robben Dewolf reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. During the 81st minute of the match Alex Van Menen completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Alex Van Menen a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After a rather tough play, Bredene's Alex Van Menen got a free kick in the 81st minute. A collision led to Bredene getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Gunther De Kerper hit a great ball. Etienne Turpin made in the 89th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Ignace Sellekaerts. In the 91st minute, Soren Labrouche hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Kenney Uijterhove had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Bredene were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over KFC Herdersem's much stronger midfield.
