The supporters of South of Heaven booed when AFC Hallaar was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Yanne Heirremans didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 9th minute, Lourenço Pedroso managed to get in a good position for a shot. South of Heaven's supporters rose to their feet, but Lourenço Pedroso was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Refael Van der Vloedt breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpected shot in the 13th minute by Lourenço Pedroso got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Johannes Moens sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The South of Heaven fans' excitement grew in the 35th match minute when South of Heaven's Lourenço Pedroso looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Johannes Moens charged in rather forcefully in the 37th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Johannes Moens the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Johannes Moens kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. Refael Van der Vloedt showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lourenço Pedroso, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The audience thought a goal was coming when Nico Van Beets got free with Roben Kints in the 75th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 77th minute, Norbert Luijten got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 78th match minute, AFC Hallaar was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Oswald Steckens to maneuver through the defense. When Terry Eggermont came up free with the goalie in the 79th minute, the South of Heaven fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Terry Eggermont couldn't finish the play. AFC Hallaar's Refael Van der Vloedt played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lourenço Pedroso in the 80th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Lourenço Pedroso in the 87th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Refael Van der Vloedt prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a defensive mix-up in AFC Hallaar's zone, Lourenço Pedroso stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Refael Van der Vloedt came out of the goal and Lourenço Pedroso tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Lourenço Pedroso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 92 minutes into the game, Terry Eggermont cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-0. Refael Van der Vloedt was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. South of Heaven walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
