Niki De Putter showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Claus Lanphan, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. The supporters of Voorne booed when CC MoNTiNi was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Thijs Geraerts didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 32 played minutes CC MoNTiNi got a freekick which was hit by Oliver Van Aerschot. 34 minutes into the game, one of CC MoNTiNi:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. 35 minutes into the game, Voorne's Gregorie Kest nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Niki De Putter made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. 38 minutes into the match, CC MoNTiNi's goal looked a bit too open when Claus Lanphan came free, but Niki De Putter reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Claus Lanphan blasted a shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Niki De Putter having to make a save. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Thijs Geraerts made the kick off in the second half. Charlie Van Den Bosche received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute.
