With a couple of smart ball manuevers Antonio Van De Velden in the 6th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Claus Van Gestelt saved Oosthoven from getting behind. Andreas Delcroix hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. After some careless play in the Oosthoven defense, Emile Vandenbosch kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Claus Van Gestelt. The Oosthoven fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Claus Van Gestelt should have stopped the shot. Dave Goons showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Georges De Koning in the 17th minute of the match. After having played for 19 minutes, Emile Vandenbosch managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. RSC Lichtelaar's supporters crossed their fingers, but Emile Vandenbosch was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 20th minute the ball was on its way in behind RSC Lichtelaar's goalkeeper Dave Goons, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 23 minutes into the match, Oosthoven's goal looked a bit too open when Emile Vandenbosch came free, but Claus Van Gestelt reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 34 minutes, Frederik Styles managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Oosthoven's supporters crossed their fingers, but Frederik Styles was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Antonio Van De Velden received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Claus Van Gestelt tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Antonio Van De Velden scored 1-2 in the 42nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Claus Van Gestelt, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-3.

The wind increased when Antonio Van De Velden made the kick off in the second half. Frederik Styles's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dave Goons read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 54th minute of play. With a little luck, Oosthoven's Claus Van Gestelt got control of the ball when Emile Vandenbosch tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 62nd minute, Emile Vandenbosch got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Jelle De Smedt came up free with the goalie in the 71st minute, the RSC Lichtelaar fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jelle De Smedt couldn't finish the play. In a very dangerous position, a player in Oosthoven fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 72nd minute. Penalty! Claus Van Gestelt showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Antonio Van De Velden in the 81st minute of the match. Dave Goons showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Frederik Styles, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. 89 minutes into the match, Emile Vandenbosch had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Claus Van Gestelt. Oosthoven's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Emile Vandenbosch was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-5. Antonio Van De Velden sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. RSC Lichtelaar's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
