Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Tolhoek's Brend Coppens started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Conrad Gobelijns kicked well hit freekick during the 2nd minute of the match. Claus Van Gestelt took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Brend Coppens, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 9thth minute of the game Leon Engelbert who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Oosthoven's Claus Van Gestelt was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Leon Engelbert received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Claus Van Gestelt tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Wim Raymaekers charged in rather forcefully in the 14th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Wim Raymaekers the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 14th match minute, Oosthoven was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wim Raymaekers to maneuver through the defense. Leon Engelbert's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Claus Van Gestelt read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 18th minute of play. Frederik Styles received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Waut Bellinkx tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Claus Van Gestelt took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Brend Coppens, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Oosthoven's Claus Van Gestelt played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Brend Coppens in the 29th minute of play. Waut Bellinkx took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Georges De Koning, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 35th minute Brend Coppens shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Claus Van Gestelt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 1-0 became the score in the 41st minute when Frederik Styles elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Georges De Koning to strike the kick off in the second half. After 54 played minutes Tolhoek got a freekick which was hit by Freddy Pijps. In the 55th minute the ball was on its way in behind Tolhoek's goalkeeper Waut Bellinkx, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The Oosthoven fans' excitement grew in the 56th match minute when Oosthoven's Georges De Koning looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Frederik Styles struck a weak shot in the 66th minute. Waut Bellinkx didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Oosthoven. When Brend Coppens came up free with the goalie in the 70th minute, the Tolhoek fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Brend Coppens couldn't finish the play. After 73 minutes, Conrad Gobelijns mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Oosthoven and the Tolhoek players grew even worse after the yellow card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 73rd minute of the game. One of Oosthoven:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Tolhoek:s goal. Leon Engelbert received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Claus Van Gestelt tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Oosthoven's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Brend Coppens 85 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 2-2. After a rather tough play, Tolhoek's Casper Verdonckt got a free kick in the 88th minute. If Frederik Styles had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Claus Van Gestelt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Brend Coppens in the 95th minute of play. Waut Bellinkx made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Frederik Styles in the 96th minute of play. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
