Ronny Vercammen might have been able to make a better finish in the 8th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Yoeri Van den Maegdenbergh. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ronny Vercammen ran back to his position shaking his head. Wim Dumont sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. KFC Aartshouw's Jonathan Vanden Broucke quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Michael Dejonckheere, made in the 12th minute of the game. After some fancy dribbling in the 13th minute, Olivier Van den Berghe managed to get in a good position for a shot. KFC Aartshouw's supporters rose to their feet, but Olivier Van den Berghe was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gert-Jan Vrancken breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Mitch Sterckmans had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 18th minute, Wim Dumont got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to KFC Aartshouw getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Olivier Van den Berghe hit a great ball. If Ronny Vercammen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. United Eagles F.C's Ronny Vercammen got a good chance for a goal in the 28th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When William Rix came up free with the goalie in the 31st minute, the United Eagles F.C fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that William Rix couldn't finish the play. William Rix sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 36th minute, William Rix ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Yoeri Van den Maegdenbergh was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

54 minutes into the game, Michael Dejonckheere was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. United Eagles F.C's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave KFC Aartshouw the free kick. KFC Aartshouw's Jonathan Vanden Broucke got a good chance for a goal in the 58th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 60th minute, Wim Dumont got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Ronny Vercammen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. William Rix recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 64th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 67th minute, Ronny Vercammen managed to get in a good position for a shot. United Eagles F.C's supporters rose to their feet, but Ronny Vercammen was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jonathan Vanden Broucke didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, United Eagles F.C's Froilan Nesto got a free kick in the 85th minute. KFC Aartshouw's Wim Dumont got a good chance for a goal in the 90th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
