Steve Servranckx received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Tommie Reynders tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bertrand Kockaerts fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Patrick Bouwmans having to interfere. After 23 minutes, Ian Beetens mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Boezinge and the AFC DeHaan players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 24th match minute, Boezinge was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ian Beetens to maneuver through the defense. In the 25thth minute of the game Ludo De Block who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Boezinge's Tommie Reynders was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Steve Servranckx had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 42 minutes, Joost Deman mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Boezinge and the AFC DeHaan players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 42nd minute, Joost Deman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, AFC DeHaan's Raf Vercouteren got a free kick in the 44th minute. If Armand Van Caubergen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The wind increased when Armand Van Caubergen made the kick off in the second half. Tommie Reynders showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Charles-Antoine Langendonck in the 51st minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ian Beetens in the 54th minute of play forced AFC DeHaan's goalkeeper Patrick Bouwmans to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tommie Reynders took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ludo De Block, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 57th match minute, Boezinge was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Joost Deman to maneuver through the defense. During the 60th minute of the match Joost Deman completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Joost Deman a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. A collision led to Boezinge getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Joost Deman hit a great ball. Raf Vercouteren was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 62nd played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Boezinge's defense didn't have a chance, in the 65th minute, when Steve Servranckx scored to the left of an out of position Tommie Reynders, making the score, 0-1. Tommie Reynders didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when AFC DeHaan's Steve Servranckx shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 0-2 in the ordered_time% minute. After 82 played minutes AFC DeHaan got a freekick which was hit by William Mestdagh. Tommie Reynders showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ludo De Block, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. 92 minutes into the game, Gerrit Marchal was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. AFC DeHaan's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Boezinge the free kick. Gerrit Marchal kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match.
