Matias de Pelsmaeker took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Steff Vervaet, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 10 minutes, Tuur Goegebeur managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Grivegnée's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tuur Goegebeur was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some careless play in the FC Grivegnée defense, Léo Botelho kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Matias de Pelsmaeker. The FC Grivegnée fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Matias de Pelsmaeker should have stopped the shot. Matias de Pelsmaeker made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Xander-Paul Van Hecke in the 14th minute of play. 15 minutes into the game, Léo Botelho was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC Ajoin's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Grivegnée the free kick. In the 17th minute Giovanny Roosendael shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Richy Putman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of FC Ajoin booed when FC Grivegnée was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Olivier Maeijnarts didn't get a good kick on the ball. 21 minutes into the match, FC Grivegnée's goal looked a bit too open when Xander-Paul Van Hecke came free, but Matias de Pelsmaeker reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. FC Ajoin's Richy Putman proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 32nd minute of the match, managed to save FC Ajoin from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, FC Ajoin's Léo Botelho got a free kick in the 34th minute. In the 35th minute of the match Stephan De Roest shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Richy Putman showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Steff Vervaet kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. The FC Grivegnée players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. FC Ajoin were winning 0-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Giovanny Roosendael to make the kick off. Giovanny Roosendael sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience was convinced that Giovanny Roosendael's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Richy Putman was relentless in the 64th minute of the game. Richy Putman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tuur Goegebeur, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. 70 minutes into the match, FC Grivegnée's goal looked a bit too open when Gabriel Van Kamp came free, but Matias de Pelsmaeker reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gabriel Van Kamp could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 72nd minute of the match, but Matias de Pelsmaeker made a huge save. Matias de Pelsmaeker made a fantastic save in the 73rd minute, when Gabriel Van Kamp sent off a good shot on target. Richy Putman made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 86th minute, Dénes Tyuskay managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Ajoin's supporters rose to their feet, but Dénes Tyuskay was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Matias de Pelsmaeker breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jerome Hostyn kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. When Tuur Goegebeur came up free with the goalie in the 94th minute, the FC Grivegnée fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tuur Goegebeur couldn't finish the play. When Maxime Libreghts fell near the penalty area in the 95th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Ajoin's protests and gave Maxime Libreghts a yellow card for diving instead. Maxime Libreghts hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
