In the 15th minute, Tijs Christiaens left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The KSV Trekschuren fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. With his leg Dylan Deflandre managed to avoid a goal in the 20thth minute, when KAA Maurage's Bruno Kerselaers fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Thomas Gyselinckx sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 24th minute the ball was on its way in behind KAA Maurage's goalkeeper Geordy Callens, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-5 lead.

The wind increased when Thomas Gyselinckx made the kick off in the second half. Bruno Kerselaers blasted a shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Dylan Deflandre having to make a save. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Luuk Van De Broeck during the 62nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to KAA Maurage getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Luuk Van De Broeck hit a great ball. The supporters of KSV Trekschuren booed when KAA Maurage was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Soren Latomme didn't get a good kick on the ball. 68 minutes into the match, KAA Maurage's goal looked a bit too open when Tijs Christiaens came free, but Geordy Callens reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Thomas Gyselinckx came up free with the goalie in the 69th minute, the KAA Maurage fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Thomas Gyselinckx couldn't finish the play. KAA Maurage's Geordy Callens proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 73rd minute of the match, managed to save KAA Maurage from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tijs Christiaens in the 74th minute of play forced KAA Maurage's goalkeeper Geordy Callens to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The KSV Trekschuren players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
