Rocky Scheerens showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Berten Van Laeck in the 7th minute of the match. After 9 played minutes, Oosthoek's Yoachim Van Achten shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Rocky Scheerens came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Oosthoek reached it. After a rather tough play, Oosthoek's Jeremey Verdonckt got a free kick in the 13th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 24th minute, Willy Cempenaers managed to get in a good position for a shot. Billegem's supporters rose to their feet, but Willy Cempenaers was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jim Goethals breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 30 minutes into the match, Billegem's goal looked a bit too open when Berten Van Laeck came free, but Rocky Scheerens reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Oosthoek's Wes Steenbecks got a good chance for a goal in the 31st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Willy Cempenaers fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jim Goethals having to interfere. Billegem's Emiel Gyselinckx got a good chance for a goal in the 41st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Emiel Gyselinckx could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 43rd minute of the match, but Jim Goethals made a huge save. In the 45thth minute of the game Willy Cempenaers who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Oosthoek's Jim Goethals was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Wes Steenbecks had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Willy Cempenaers stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Berten Van Laeck could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 52nd minute of the match, but Rocky Scheerens made a huge save. 53 minutes into the match, Billegem's Willy Cempenaers sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jim Goethals narrowly saved just below the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Willy Cempenaers in the 74th minute of play forced Oosthoek's goalkeeper Jim Goethals to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A hard shot 76 in the game by Berten Van Laeck from a close distance when the talented Rocky Scheerens managed to make a qualified save. Billegem's players were relieved. Willy Cempenaers received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Jim Goethals tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Willy Cempenaers's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jim Goethals was relentless in the 82nd minute of the game. When Paul-Louis Billen fell near the penalty area in the 95th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Billegem's protests and gave Paul-Louis Billen a yellow card for diving instead. The Oosthoek players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Billegem from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
