Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Stanny De Munck kicked off to start the match. KFC Herentals's Reinard De Beer got a good chance for a goal in the 3rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 5th minute, Wes Paelinck hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 6 minutes into the match, KFC Herentals's Ruud De Raeve broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. After 14 minutes, Achilles Van Kestbeek mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the KFC Herentals and the KAA Assesse players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 14th match minute, KFC Herentals was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Achilles Van Kestbeek to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, KFC Herentals's Jonas Marrant got a free kick in the 16th minute. Jean-Louis Aerts charged in rather forcefully in the 17th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jean-Louis Aerts the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Reinard De Beer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. KAA Assesse's Jens vrolijx played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Reinard De Beer in the 20th minute of play. Stanny De Munck succeeded in the game's 23rd minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-1. After some careless play in the KFC Herentals defense, Glen Depelsmaker kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Adam Van Den Broeck. The KFC Herentals fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Adam Van Den Broeck should have stopped the shot. After some fancy dribbling in the 29th minute, Glen Depelsmaker managed to get in a good position for a shot. KAA Assesse's supporters rose to their feet, but Glen Depelsmaker was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Adam Van Den Broeck breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After having played for 35 minutes, Wes Paelinck managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. KAA Assesse's supporters crossed their fingers, but Wes Paelinck was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ruben Baele hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. In the 38th minute, Marten Van Cleijnenbruegel sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and KFC Herentals's Adam Van Den Broeck didn't even have to move. An unexpectedly hard shot by Reinard De Beer in the 42nd minute of play forced KAA Assesse's goalkeeper Jens vrolijx to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

The wind increased when Reinard De Beer made the kick off in the second half. Leon Heirremans fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jens vrolijx having to interfere. Reinard De Beer recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 60th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Leon Heirremans in the 62nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jens vrolijx saved KAA Assesse from getting behind. In the 62nd minute, Achilles Van Kestbeek hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Adam Van Den Broeck was a little too slow when Glen Depelsmaker got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 64th minute. The score was now 0-4. In the 66th match minute, KAA Assesse was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Glen Depelsmaker to maneuver through the defense. Leon Heirremans fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jens vrolijx having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Reinard De Beer's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jens vrolijx was relentless in the 70th minute of the game. Jens vrolijx took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leon Heirremans, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 79 minutes into the game, Reinard De Beer cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-4. Jens vrolijx was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 83 minutes into the game, Leon Heirremans cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-4. Jens vrolijx was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Leon Heirremans recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 94th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The KFC Herentals manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing KAA Assesse to win.
