Rein Anthonis stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Dany Matthys's shot from short distance in the 9th minute. Rein Anthonis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dany Matthys in the 21st minute of the match. Rein Anthonis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dany Matthys, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Jabbeke booed when KFC Jemappes was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ernest Vandewalle didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jo Huytterhoeven could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 35th minute of the match, but Rein Anthonis made a huge save. If Florian Ingelborgs had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in KFC Jemappes's zone, Dany Matthys stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rein Anthonis came out of the goal and Dany Matthys tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ernest Vandewalle placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Dany Matthys stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Rein Anthonis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dany Matthys in the 54th minute of play. After having played for 55 minutes, Jo Huytterhoeven managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Jabbeke's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jo Huytterhoeven was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dany Matthys in the 57th minute of play forced KFC Jemappes's goalkeeper Rein Anthonis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Benoit Wegers's late challenge caught a Jabbeke's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Benoit Wegers helped the player get up and apologised. After 58 played minutes KFC Jemappes got a freekick which was hit by Benoit Wegers. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jo Huytterhoeven in the 59th minute of play forced KFC Jemappes's goalkeeper Rein Anthonis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Florian Ingelborgs fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mathieu Herinckx having to interfere. In the 88th minute, Pierrot Roosendael hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 96 minutes into the match, Jabbeke's Jo Huytterhoeven sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Rein Anthonis narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 98th minute, Florian Ingelborgs managed to get in a good position for a shot. KFC Jemappes's supporters rose to their feet, but Florian Ingelborgs was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mathieu Herinckx breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jabbeke's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
