Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Dany Matthys got the match started through his kick off. Jozef Kuppens recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 4th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Jo Huytterhoeven had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dany Matthys received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Bass Rutgeerts tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jo Huytterhoeven in the 19th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Bass Rutgeerts prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 20th minute, Dany Matthys got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jo Huytterhoeven in the 22nd minute of play forced GS AS.'s goalkeeper Bass Rutgeerts to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 23rd minute, Jo Huytterhoeven managed to get in a good position for a shot. Jabbeke's supporters rose to their feet, but Jo Huytterhoeven was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bass Rutgeerts breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Dany Matthys sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bass Rutgeerts showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dany Matthys in the 31st minute of the match. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jozef Kuppens stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Mathieu Herinckx showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jozef Kuppens, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jo Huytterhoeven got free with Bass Rutgeerts in the 61st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The audience was convinced that Dany Matthys's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Bass Rutgeerts was relentless in the 63rd minute of the game. If Jo Huytterhoeven had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dany Matthys fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bass Rutgeerts having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Dany Matthys's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Bass Rutgeerts was relentless in the 71st minute of the game. In the 75thth minute of the game Dany Matthys who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but GS AS.'s Bass Rutgeerts was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Bass Rutgeerts was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Dany Matthys showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-2 in the 79 minute of play. If Dany Matthys had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With his leg Bass Rutgeerts managed to avoid a goal in the 84thth minute, when Jabbeke's Jo Huytterhoeven fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 86 minutes into the match, Jabbeke's Dany Matthys sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Bass Rutgeerts narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After having played for 88 minutes, Dany Matthys managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Jabbeke's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dany Matthys was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 92nd match minute, GS AS. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leopold van Hacht to maneuver through the defense. After recieving a nice pass, Jabbeke's Erik Verelst tried to score from far away in the 93rd minute, but the ball went over the crossbar.
