The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Antoine Raemakers was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 10 minutes into the match. 9 minutes into the game, one of LaRoche-en-Ardenne:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Jeroen Panhuijsen had in the 11thth minute some difficulties stopping Renzo De Maesschalck's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. 11 minutes into the match, Renzo De Maesschalck had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jeroen Panhuijsen. LaRoche-en-Ardenne's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Renzo De Maesschalck was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. 16 minutes into the match, KVSK Viersel's goal looked a bit too open when Wesley Van Hautvinck came free, but Andrez Vischkens reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 17th minute, Billie Renotte hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Wesley Van Hautvinck in the 22nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Andrez Vischkens saved KVSK Viersel from getting behind. Billie Renotte kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. Wesley Van Hautvinck received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Andrez Vischkens tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Andrez Vischkens showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Enzo Camps, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. Garry Van Eeckhout received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Jeroen Panhuijsen came out and tried to block the shot, but Garry Van Eeckhout slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 33rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Garry Van Eeckhout in the 38th minute of play forced LaRoche-en-Ardenne's goalkeeper Jeroen Panhuijsen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Georges Loosen's late challenge caught a KVSK Viersel's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Georges Loosen helped the player get up and apologised. 48 minutes into the match, KVSK Viersel's Yannik Vorster sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jeroen Panhuijsen narrowly saved just below the crossbar.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Wesley Van Hautvinck was the one to do the kick off. With his leg Andrez Vischkens managed to avoid a goal in the 56thth minute, when LaRoche-en-Ardenne's Wesley Van Hautvinck fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The goalkeeper, Andrez Vischkens, was totally fooled by LaRoche-en-Ardenne's Arend Cortens, who 59 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Wesley Van Hautvinck received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Wesley Van Hautvinck could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 92nd minute of the match, but Andrez Vischkens made a huge save. Yannik Vorster fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 99th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jeroen Panhuijsen having to interfere. LaRoche-en-Ardenne's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
