Nickolas Lefevere took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 8th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Maurice Van Achten. Rumbeke's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Maurice Van Achten showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adolf Volckaerts, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. If Sem Vranken had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ralf Schipmans received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Michael Hosselaer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 24thth minute of the game Ralf Schipmans who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Moorsel's Michael Hosselaer was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Ralf Schipmans sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Pierre-Paul Geest during the 28th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Rumbeke booed when Moorsel was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pierre-Paul Geest didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Ralf Schipmans came up free with the goalie in the 32nd minute, the Rumbeke fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ralf Schipmans couldn't finish the play. 35 minutes into the match, Moorsel's goal looked a bit too open when Ralf Schipmans came free, but Michael Hosselaer reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Ralf Schipmans had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Sem Vranken got free with Michael Hosselaer in the 40th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 45th minute, Gregoire Adriaensens sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Moorsel's Michael Hosselaer didn't even have to move.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Adolf Volckaerts to strike the kick off in the second half. Jelle Colebrants kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. When Adolf Volckaerts came up free with the goalie in the 59th minute, the Moorsel fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Adolf Volckaerts couldn't finish the play. Adolf Volckaerts's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Maurice Van Achten read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 61st minute of play. After a rather tough play, Rumbeke's Jelle Colebrants got a free kick in the 68th minute. Adolf Volckaerts sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 73 minutes into the match, Moorsel's goal looked a bit too open when Sem Vranken came free, but Michael Hosselaer reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adolf Volckaerts in the 88th minute of play forced Rumbeke's goalkeeper Maurice Van Achten to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The goalkeeper, Maurice Van Achten, was totally fooled by Moorsel's Dyllen Leempoels, who 93 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. After having played for 97 minutes, Ralf Schipmans managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rumbeke's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ralf Schipmans was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Rumbeke had played much better football throughout.
