After 2 played minutes, KVSK Boseind's Dominic Coppens shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Paulus Roosendael came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in KVSK Boseind reached it. In the 4th minute the ball was on its way in behind KVSK Boseind's goalkeeper Mitch Moors, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 5 minutes into the match, FC Leupegem 's goalkeeper Paulus Roosendael had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Philip Smets. When Tobias Vrancken came up free with the goalie in the 7th minute, the KVSK Boseind fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tobias Vrancken couldn't finish the play. If Theo Schroons had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Florian Smekens struck a weak shot in the 13th minute. Mitch Moors didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Leupegem . The supporters of FC Leupegem booed when KVSK Boseind was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tobias Vrancken didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mitch Moors made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Theo Schroons in the 20th minute of play. Theo Schroons fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mitch Moors having to interfere. Mitch Moors showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Theo Schroons, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. 28 minutes into the match, KVSK Boseind's goal looked a bit too open when Theo Schroons came free, but Mitch Moors reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Richy De Ryck hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. If Tobias Vrancken had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Mitch Moors took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Florian Smekens, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the match had gone on for 40 minutes, Florian Smekens put it in 1-1 from a short distance just to the right of Mitch Moors. Sven Elzen charged in rather forcefully in the 44th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Sven Elzen the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Sven Elzen hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. Theo Schroons fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mitch Moors having to interfere. A collision led to KVSK Boseind getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Sven Elzen hit a great ball. Theo Schroons struck a weak shot in the 49th minute. Mitch Moors didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Leupegem . The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Tobias Vrancken was the one to do the kick off. After 84 minutes, Hendrik-Jan Keldermans mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the KVSK Boseind and the FC Leupegem players grew even worse after the yellow card. When Martial De Vlaeminck fell near the penalty area in the 95th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Leupegem 's protests and gave Martial De Vlaeminck a yellow card for diving instead. In the 98th minute, Philip Smets made a precise shot to the right of Paulus Roosendael. FC Leupegem 's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
