Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Wanze's Bavo Jenken started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Sam Overloop during the 9th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 9th minute, Sam Overloop hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Wanze booed when KAA Velroux was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jurgen van Eijnde didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 14th minute, Wanze's Bavo Jenken dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. Mathieu de Pelsmaecker recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 21st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 23 played minutes KAA Velroux got a freekick which was hit by Ive Caes. 25 minutes in the game Cedric Lefevre got a great opportunity which he missed by shooting outside the goal. Ronny Geerts made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bavo Jenken in the 32nd minute of play. Dennis Biesen charged in rather forcefully in the 34th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Dennis Biesen the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 34 played minutes KAA Velroux got a freekick which was hit by Dennis Biesen. Cedric Lefevre, 35 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. In the 42nd minute, Jurgen van Eijnde got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jean-Louis Tielemans took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mathieu de Pelsmaecker, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Gabriel de Koninck fell near the penalty area in the 46th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Wanze's protests and gave Gabriel de Koninck a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of KAA Velroux booed when Wanze was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gabriel de Koninck didn't get a good kick on the ball.

The wind increased when Mathieu de Pelsmaecker made the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mathieu de Pelsmaecker in the 54th minute of play forced Wanze's goalkeeper Jean-Louis Tielemans to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 60 minutes into the match, KAA Velroux's goal looked a bit too open when Sam Overloop came free, but Ronny Geerts reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 63rdth minute of the game Bavo Jenken who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but KAA Velroux's Ronny Geerts was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 69thth minute of the game Mathieu de Pelsmaecker who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Wanze's Jean-Louis Tielemans was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 71 minutes into the match, Sam Overloop notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of KAA Velroux's Ronny Geerts. Ronny Geerts was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Ronny Geerts made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sam Overloop in the 76th minute of play. Mathieu de Pelsmaecker sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. KAA Velroux's Ronny Geerts played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gabriel de Koninck in the 86th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sam Overloop in the 88th minute of play forced KAA Velroux's goalkeeper Ronny Geerts to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 90th minute, Mathieu de Pelsmaecker got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jurgen van Eijnde got free with Jean-Louis Tielemans in the 92nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Jean-Louis Tielemans made a fantastic save in the 96th minute, when Jurgen van Eijnde sent off a good shot on target. KAA Velroux's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
