Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Diego Vrijdags started the match with the kick off. 6 minutes into the match, Tommie Tobbackers had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ruben Spoelbergh. VC Grammene's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Tommie Tobbackers was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. After having played for 9 minutes, Tommie Tobbackers managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Knokke's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tommie Tobbackers was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, VC Grammene's Isidoor Cremers got a free kick in the 20th minute. 21 minutes into the game, Godfried Bracke was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. VC Grammene's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Knokke the free kick. After 21 played minutes VC Grammene got a freekick which was hit by Godfried Bracke. In the 22nd minute of the match William Volle shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ruben Spoelbergh showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Ruben Spoelbergh made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dre Klopterop in the 24th minute of play. Tommie Tobbackers received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Ruben Spoelbergh tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tommie Tobbackers in the 27th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ruben Spoelbergh saved VC Grammene from getting behind. If Tommie Tobbackers had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Marcus Cornelis charged in rather forcefully in the 32nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Marcus Cornelis the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Marcus Cornelis hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. 33 minutes into the match, VC Grammene's goal looked a bit too open when Tommie Tobbackers came free, but Ruben Spoelbergh reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Isidoor Cremers kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. Tommie Tobbackers received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Ruben Spoelbergh tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 41st minute of the match William Volle shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ruben Spoelbergh showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. If Dre Klopterop had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Dre Klopterop made a kick off. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Michael Van den Panhuijsen during the 54th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 55th match minute, Knokke was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Michael Van den Panhuijsen to maneuver through the defense. After 59 minutes of play VC Grammene's Isidoor Cremers was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. In the 62nd minute Dre Klopterop shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ruben Spoelbergh saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, VC Grammene's David Pannekoek got a free kick in the 63rd minute. William Volle recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 64th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Dre Klopterop hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. Ruben Spoelbergh showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dre Klopterop in the 70th minute of the match. Tommie Tobbackers could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 80th minute of the match, but Ruben Spoelbergh made a huge save. Dre Klopterop fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ruben Spoelbergh having to interfere. 86 minutes into the match, Knokke's goal looked a bit too open when Qwinten Hendricks came free, but Jef Van Boxstael reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ruben Spoelbergh made a fantastic save in the 92nd minute, when Tommie Tobbackers sent off a good shot on target. From close distance Tommie Tobbackers pressed in the 0-2 goal high up into nets stiches in the right cross 94 minutes into the game. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Knokke had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
