KV Dessel's Rens Meersman proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 4th minute of the match, managed to save KV Dessel from getting a goal against them. Yanne Wilmots sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Jaques Vercammen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 31st minute Jaques Vercammen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Stephen Bosbeeck saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 36 minutes into the game, Louis-Philippe Franckx was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SK Annekenshoek's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave KV Dessel the free kick. A collision led to SK Annekenshoek getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Louis-Philippe Franckx hit a great ball. In the 43rd minute Jaques Vercammen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Stephen Bosbeeck saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jaques Vercammen made a kick off. Karel-Jan Knoops received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Stephen Bosbeeck tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, SK Annekenshoek's Pierrot Artois got a free kick in the 59th minute. Jaques Vercammen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stephen Bosbeeck having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 68th minute, Jaques Vercammen managed to get in a good position for a shot. KV Dessel's supporters rose to their feet, but Jaques Vercammen was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Stephen Bosbeeck breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Karel-Jan Knoops's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Stephen Bosbeeck read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 69th minute of play. Jan Roscams kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. Jaques Vercammen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stephen Bosbeeck having to interfere. When Gilbert Eijkens came up free with the goalie in the 80th minute, the SK Annekenshoek fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gilbert Eijkens couldn't finish the play. In the 81st match minute, KV Dessel was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bobby Van Vyve to maneuver through the defense. Rens Meersman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gilbert Eijkens in the 84th minute of the match. KV Dessel's Karel-Jan Knoops got a good chance for a goal in the 86th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of KV Dessel booed when SK Annekenshoek was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Louis-Philippe Franckx didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 95 played minutes SK Annekenshoek got a freekick which was hit by Yannis Van Damme. 97 minutes into the game, Yannis Van Damme was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. After recieving a nice pass, KV Dessel's Danny Van Landewijck tried to score from far away in the 98th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
