Thomas-Jan Poels took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 7th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Giovanni Weijnandts. Avekapelle's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Giovanni Weijnandts took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kenny De Beer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Tim Borglevens had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 27th match minute, Avekapelle was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jason Roussel to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Avekapelle's Emmanuel Feys got a free kick in the 34th minute. After 36 minutes, Kenny De Beer made it 0-3 with a short kick to the right side. Avekapelle's Giovanni Weijnandts tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joachim Van Craesbeeck in the 40th minute of play forced VC Naastveld's goalkeeper Gilles Neirynck to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 43 minutes into the game, Avekapelle's Gunther Tobbackers nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Gilles Neirynck made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-3.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tim Borglevens stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Tristan Bernage kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. Hendrik Goos hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. Jammy Van Den Hout took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 57th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Giovanni Weijnandts. Avekapelle's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Gilles Neirynck showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joachim Van Craesbeeck, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. If Tim Borglevens had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kenny De Beer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Giovanni Weijnandts tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Joachim Van Craesbeeck blasted a shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Gilles Neirynck having to make a save. Gunther Tobbackers fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gilles Neirynck having to interfere. Gunther Tobbackers received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Gilles Neirynck tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpected shot in the 76th minute by Kenny De Beer got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Tim Borglevens sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After 80 minutes of play, VC Naastveld's Kenny De Beer made it 1-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Giovanni Weijnandts was left in no man's land by his defense there! Joachim Van Craesbeeck sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Avekapelle supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching VC Naastveld's performance. The match ended with a win for VC Naastveld.
