If Gunther Tobbackers had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Avekapelle's Giovanni Weijnandts got control of the ball when Benne Sproten tried to sneak it across the goal line. 13 minutes into the match, Avekapelle's goalkeeper Giovanni Weijnandts had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Benne Sproten. Franck Gevaert received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Giovanni Weijnandts tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 18th minute, Franck Gevaert fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Dyllen Van Eyck kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. Dyllen Van Eyck hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. If Gunther Tobbackers had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Franck Gevaert in the 42nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Giovanni Weijnandts saved Avekapelle from getting behind. Benne Sproten sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Benne Sproten to strike the kick off in the second half. Benne Sproten sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Giovanni Weijnandts took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Benne Sproten, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Graty booed when Avekapelle was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jason Roussel didn't get a good kick on the ball. Benne Sproten received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. If Vicente Dekens had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 88th minute, Benne Sproten managed to get in a good position for a shot. Graty's supporters rose to their feet, but Benne Sproten was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Giovanni Weijnandts breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After having played for 91 minutes, Felix Gijselinx managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Graty's supporters crossed their fingers, but Felix Gijselinx was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Graty's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
