After having played for 86 minutes, Will Everts managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. AFC Leeuwergem's supporters crossed their fingers, but Will Everts was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Fredrik Van Den Wijngaert blasted a shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Christoph De Maijer having to make a save. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
