Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The audience was convinced that Jelle Gendre's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gust Tilens was relentless in the 3rd minute of the game. KAA Waasdonk's Tony Wijnants played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bart Maenhout in the 5th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Bart Maenhout in the 9th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Tony Wijnants prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 9 minutes, Eric Everaerts mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the KAA Waasdonk and the Edingen players grew even worse after the yellow card. Tony Wijnants took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bart Maenhout, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. KAA Waasdonk's Tony Wijnants played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bart Maenhout in the 17th minute of play. In the 18th minute Edingen were awarded a corner. Pieterjan Stocks went to the cornerflag to take it. After some careless play in the KAA Waasdonk defense, Franky Vanden Bussche kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tony Wijnants. The KAA Waasdonk fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tony Wijnants should have stopped the shot. If Franky Vanden Bussche had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dean Van Herendael charged in rather forcefully in the 39th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Dean Van Herendael the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 40th match minute, KAA Waasdonk was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dean Van Herendael to maneuver through the defense. Laurence Coopmans kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. Tony Wijnants made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Franky Vanden Bussche in the 47th minute of play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jelle Gendre to make the kick off. Gust Tilens came out of the goal in the 52nd minute to try and stop a shot by KAA Waasdonk's Jelle Gendre. But to his dismay, Jelle Gendre quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. 55 minutes into the match, Edingen's Bas Van Daelen sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Tony Wijnants narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The supporters of KAA Waasdonk booed when Edingen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lennart Mesmaekers didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bas Van Daelen hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. When Jelle Gendre came up free with the goalie in the 62nd minute, the KAA Waasdonk fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jelle Gendre couldn't finish the play. KAA Waasdonk's Tony Wijnants proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 67th minute of the match, managed to save KAA Waasdonk from getting a goal against them. Franky Vanden Bussche's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Tony Wijnants read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 76th minute of play. Will Van Linthout kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, KAA Waasdonk's Will Van Linthout got a free kick in the 80th minute. 81 minutes into the match, Edingen's Pieterjan Stocks broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. KAA Waasdonk's Tony Wijnants proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 89th minute of the match, managed to save KAA Waasdonk from getting a goal against them. Franky Vanden Bussche recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 94th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 96 minutes, Jelle Gendre mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the KAA Waasdonk and the Edingen players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Edingen booed when KAA Waasdonk was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jelle Gendre didn't get a good kick on the ball. Despite being the better team, Edingen failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
