Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Berten van Kelfs started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. After some fancy dribbling in the 17th minute, Berten van Kelfs managed to get in a good position for a shot. Club Vinkwijk's supporters rose to their feet, but Berten van Kelfs was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Remie De Koq breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Club Vinkwijk's Maarten Van Clynenbreugel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Henri Van Vyve in the 20th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Henri Van Vyve in the 27th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Maarten Van Clynenbreugel prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Erik-Jan Van Schoorisse kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. Kenn Suetens struck a weak shot in the 33rd minute. Remie De Koq didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Club Vinkwijk. In the 36th minute, Berten van Kelfs ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Remie De Koq was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. 43 minutes into the game, Henri Van Vyve was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC Herdersem's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Club Vinkwijk the free kick. Kenn Suetens sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

The wind increased when Henri Van Vyve made the kick off in the second half. Maarten Van Clynenbreugel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Henri Van Vyve in the 53rd minute of play. Erik-Jan Van Schoorisse received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Maarten Van Clynenbreugel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. FC Herdersem's Remie De Koq proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 61st minute of the match, managed to save FC Herdersem from getting a goal against them. 63 minutes into the game, Gaetan Sevenants was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC Herdersem's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Club Vinkwijk the free kick. Gaetan Sevenants kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. The supporters of FC Herdersem booed when Club Vinkwijk was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jacques Coppens didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 85th minute, Henri Van Vyve got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Erik-Jan Van Schoorisse came up free with the goalie in the 88th minute, the FC Herdersem fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Erik-Jan Van Schoorisse couldn't finish the play. Berten van Kelfs sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 95th minute the ball was on its way in behind Club Vinkwijk's goalkeeper Maarten Van Clynenbreugel, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The Club Vinkwijk supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Club Vinkwijk would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
