Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Henri Van Vyve started the match with the kick off. 3 minutes into the game, Jacob Van den Panhuijsen was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Boezinge's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Herdersem the free kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Henri Van Vyve in the 5th minute of play forced Boezinge's goalkeeper Gregorie van haeve to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Remie De Koq took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lennart Engels, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Lennart Engels had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Bram Abeloos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Erik-Jan Van Schoorisse struck a weak shot in the 18th minute. Gregorie van haeve didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Herdersem. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Henri Van Vyve in the 23rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gregorie van haeve prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 24 minutes into the match, Boezinge's goal looked a bit too open when Erik-Jan Van Schoorisse came free, but Gregorie van haeve reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Bram Abeloos got free with Remie De Koq in the 26th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Henri Van Vyve had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gregorie van haeve showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Erik-Jan Van Schoorisse, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. After a defensive mix-up in Boezinge's zone, Henri Van Vyve stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gregorie van haeve came out of the goal and Henri Van Vyve tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Lennart Engels might have been able to make a better finish in the 37th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Remie De Koq. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Lennart Engels ran back to his position shaking his head. Jan-Pieter Standaers charged in rather forcefully in the 40th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jan-Pieter Standaers the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 40th match minute, FC Herdersem was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jan-Pieter Standaers to maneuver through the defense. Bruno Ghesels, 41 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Lennart Engels made a kick off. Bram Abeloos's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Remie De Koq read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 52nd minute of play. 54 minutes into the match, Boezinge's goalkeeper Gregorie van haeve had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Erik-Jan Van Schoorisse. Bram Abeloos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience was convinced that Bram Abeloos's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Remie De Koq was relentless in the 63rd minute of the game. Gregorie van haeve was a little too slow when Henri Van Vyve got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 65th minute. The score was now 0-1. FC Herdersem's Remie De Koq played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bram Abeloos in the 70th minute of play. Henri Van Vyve received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Gregorie van haeve tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lennart Engels blasted a shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Remie De Koq having to make a save. Bram Abeloos struck a weak shot in the 80th minute. Remie De Koq didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Boezinge. After 87 minutes, Mateo van der Eycken mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Herdersem and the Boezinge players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, FC Herdersem's Mateo van der Eycken got a free kick in the 87th minute. In the 89th minute Lennart Engels shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Remie De Koq saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 90th match minute, FC Herdersem was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Stefan Servrancx to maneuver through the defense. Bram Abeloos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Remie De Koq tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Boezinge's Bram Abeloos got a good chance for a goal in the 93rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Lennart Engels had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The FC Herdersem players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
