Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Sem Buyck made the kick off which started today's match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cederic Mertens in the 4th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Richy Dujardin saved SK Sint-Genesius-Rode from getting behind. Ricky Goens kicked well hit freekick during the 5th minute of the match. SK Sint-Genesius-Rode's Richy Dujardin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pascal Dekkers in the 6th minute of play. Cederic Mertens might have been able to make a better finish in the 8th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Richy Dujardin. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Cederic Mertens ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 13th minute of the match Pascal Helssen sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Andrew De Vreese skillfully saved the ball. In the 15th match minute, SK Sint-Genesius-Rode was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Brecht Villyn to maneuver through the defense. In the 27th minute, Vince Pelsers had to leave the field with a concussion. Laurend Gillis charged in rather forcefully in the 27th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Laurend Gillis the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Laurend Gillis kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. 29 minutes into the match, SK Sint-Genesius-Rode's Philippe-Arnaud Serneels broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Sem Buyck hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. In the 35th minute, Ricky Goens hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Sem Buyck had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cederic Mertens recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 45th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 47th minute, Frits Seveneijns managed to get in a good position for a shot. SK Sint-Genesius-Rode's supporters rose to their feet, but Frits Seveneijns was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Andrew De Vreese breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

After a rather tough play, Buissenal's Ludwig Goorts got a free kick in the 51st minute. SK Sint-Genesius-Rode's Philippe-Arnaud Serneels couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Buissenal. 66 minutes into the match, SK Sint-Genesius-Rode's goal looked a bit too open when Sem Buyck came free, but Richy Dujardin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 69 played minutes SK Sint-Genesius-Rode got a freekick which was hit by Kristof Van Beylen. Richy Dujardin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cederic Mertens, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. Buissenal were awarded a corner in the 86th minute after SK Sint-Genesius-Rode's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Pascal Dekkers took the corner. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Laurend Gillis in the 88th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Richy Dujardin prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a defensive mix-up in SK Sint-Genesius-Rode's zone, Sem Buyck stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Richy Dujardin came out of the goal and Sem Buyck tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Buissenal walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
