Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Sebbe Struijf kicked off to start the match. Sem Buyck sent away a hard shot on goal in the 2nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Fred De Hont made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cederic Mertens in the 7th minute. Fred De Hont showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sem Buyck, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. 10 minutes into the match, Buissenal's Sem Buyck sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Fred De Hont narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 19th minute, Buissenal's Sem Buyck dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. Sebbe Struijf received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Andrew De Vreese tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cederic Mertens in the 26thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Fred De Hont, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Georges Deroek during the 27th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Buissenal fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 27th minute. Penalty! Buissenal's Sem Buyck got a good chance for a goal in the 41st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Andrew De Vreese made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Robbie Van der Weijden in the 43rd minute of play. Andrew De Vreese showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sebbe Struijf in the 47th minute of the match.
51 minutes into the match, Buissenal's goal looked a bit too open when Johannes Rijmenams came free, but Andrew De Vreese reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Andrew De Vreese took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Roni Demeester, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Robbie Van der Weijden received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Andrew De Vreese tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 56th minute, Pascal Dekkers hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 61 minutes Buissenal's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Axel Meersmans who took care of the corner kick. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cederic Mertens in the 63rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Fred De Hont saved KSV Nieuwendijk from getting behind. After a defensive mix-up in KSV Nieuwendijk's zone, Cederic Mertens stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fred De Hont came out of the goal and Cederic Mertens tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Sebbe Struijf kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in KSV Nieuwendijk's zone, Sem Buyck stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fred De Hont came out of the goal and Sem Buyck tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Sebbe Struijf was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 81st minute. KSV Nieuwendijk's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. After having played for 82 minutes, Cederic Mertens managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Buissenal's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cederic Mertens was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Johannes Rijmenams's late challenge caught a Buissenal's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Johannes Rijmenams helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Buissenal booed when KSV Nieuwendijk was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Johannes Rijmenams didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Sem Buyck in the 98th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Fred De Hont prevented the ball from getting in the gole. For all the effort they put into the match, the KSV Nieuwendijk players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Buissenal.
