After 8 played minutes, Valkenhuis's Dreas Van Lier shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Jan-Pieter Vercasteren came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Valkenhuis reached it. Julius Schouters sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 12th minute, Mattias Enskens got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Mattias Enskens came up free with the goalie in the 14th minute, the Valkenhuis fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mattias Enskens couldn't finish the play. In the 19th match minute, Valkenhuis was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dreas Van Lier to maneuver through the defense. With splendid footwork Mattias Enskens arrived in front of goal to shoot 1-0 by the left pole in the game's 22nd minute. Club Machelen's Jan-Pieter Vercasteren played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mattias Enskens in the 25th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Julius Schouters got free with Jan-Pieter Vercasteren in the 27th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The supporters of Valkenhuis booed when Club Machelen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Daan Schoenmaekers didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 32 minutes, Etienne Van Craesbeeck managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Club Machelen's supporters crossed their fingers, but Etienne Van Craesbeeck was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 33 minutes into the game, Yelle Brabant cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Evert-Jan Haentjens was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Yelle Brabant to strike the kick off in the second half. The audience was convinced that Yelle Brabant's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Evert-Jan Haentjens was relentless in the 52nd minute of the game. 59 minutes into the match, Valkenhuis's goal looked a bit too open when Yelle Brabant came free, but Evert-Jan Haentjens reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Club Machelen fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jan-Pieter Vercasteren should have stopped the shot. The audience was convinced that Mattias Enskens's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jan-Pieter Vercasteren was relentless in the 74th minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Julius Schouters in the 75th minute of play forced Club Machelen's goalkeeper Jan-Pieter Vercasteren to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gilles Coryn kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. If Mattias Enskens had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jan-Pieter Vercasteren took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mattias Enskens, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 92 played minutes Club Machelen got a freekick which was hit by Ramon Kest. Julius Schouters spun around in front of the goal 93 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Club Machelen's goal. Ramon Kest hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. Etienne Van Craesbeeck fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Evert-Jan Haentjens having to interfere. Valkenhuis's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
