Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Sebastian Francx started the match with the kick off. If Victor Cornelis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Wart de Pelsmaecker fell near the penalty area in the 9th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sint-Maria-Oudenhove 's protests and gave Wart de Pelsmaecker a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Sint-Maria-Oudenhove getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Wart de Pelsmaecker hit a great ball. Emmanuel Luyten was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 12th minute. Laak's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. In the 14th minute of the match Jannick Scheerens shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Bastiaan De Worteler showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Bastiaan De Worteler stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Sebastian Francx's shot from short distance in the 19th minute. If Emmanuel Luyten had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Victor Cornelis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jannick Scheerens's late challenge caught a Laak's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jannick Scheerens helped the player get up and apologised. Jannick Scheerens kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. In the 30th minute Billie Dillemans shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bastiaan De Worteler saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sint-Maria-Oudenhove 's Sebastian Francx got a good chance for a goal in the 44th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Billie Dillemans received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Bastiaan De Worteler tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Bastiaan De Worteler made a fantastic save in the 52nd minute, when Yannis Roeckeloes sent off a good shot on target. Sint-Maria-Oudenhove 's Gabriel Verlinden played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Victor Cornelis in the 55th minute of play. Victor Cornelis recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 59th minute, Nicky Moerman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience was convinced that Sebastian Francx's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Bastiaan De Worteler was relentless in the 64th minute of the game. In the 73rd minute, Hector Neef hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Emmanuel Luyten didn't quite understand what happened when in the 74 minute of the game managed to get a great opportunity for a goal and then missed the goal by a feet. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Victor Cornelis in the 77th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gabriel Verlinden saved Sint-Maria-Oudenhove from getting behind. Cedrik Van De Velden charged in rather forcefully in the 82nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Cedrik Van De Velden the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Sint-Maria-Oudenhove 's Billie Dillemans managed to work through Laak's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Billie Dillemans dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. Emmanuel Luyten's late challenge caught a Sint-Maria-Oudenhove 's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. After 97 minutes, Lars Deckers mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Laak and the Sint-Maria-Oudenhove players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 97th minute, Lars Deckers hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Sint-Maria-Oudenhove walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
