Jorge Uyterhelcht received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Joel Ooms tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 8 minutes into the game, Woelingen's Ivan Dobbelaere nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Joel Ooms made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Emiel Vanhove sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Emiel Vanhove received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Qwinten Sanders tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 21st minute of the game. One of AFC Wilrijk:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Woelingen:s goal. AFC Wilrijk:s Joel Ooms showed great skill when he stopped Tim-Jan Steenbecks:s penalty. 26 minutes into the match, Thomas-Jan Dobbelaere dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Qwinten Sanders, 1-1. In the 32nd minute of the match, Thomas-Jan Dobbelaere tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Qwinten Sanders saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After having played for 34 minutes, Thomas-Jan Dobbelaere managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. AFC Wilrijk's supporters crossed their fingers, but Thomas-Jan Dobbelaere was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Fernand Focquier kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. Thomas-Jan Dobbelaere blasted a shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Qwinten Sanders having to make a save. In the 40th minute, AFC Wilrijk's Perry Calewaerts seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Perry Calewaerts the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of AFC Wilrijk protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Perry Calewaerts had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 42nd minute there was a penalty for Woelingen. Tim-Jan Steenbecks stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Joel Ooms. 1-2. Joel Ooms came out of the goal in the 48th minute to try and stop a shot by Woelingen's Joonatan Pardons. But to his dismay, Joonatan Pardons quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. Disappointed in the 1-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Joonatan Pardons was the one to do the kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jorge Uyterhelcht got free with Joel Ooms in the 55th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Emiel Vanhove had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 63rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Woelingen's goalkeeper Qwinten Sanders, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Jorge Uyterhelcht's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 65thth minute, Joel Ooms skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. 69 minutes into the match, Woelingen's Joonatan Pardons sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Joel Ooms narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Joel Ooms showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joonatan Pardons, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. Ivan Dobbelaere received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Joel Ooms tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 91 minutes, Jorge Uyterhelcht managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Woelingen's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jorge Uyterhelcht was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With splendid footwork Jorge Uyterhelcht arrived in front of goal to shoot 1-4 by the left pole in the game's 92nd minute. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Woelingen walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
