Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Xander Wegers made the kick off and thus started the match. KVSK Gavere's Pierre-Olivier De Maijer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Xander Wegers in the 9th minute of play. After 10 played minutes KVSK Gavere got a freekick which was hit by Jullian Bosbeeck. After having played for 11 minutes, Xander Wegers managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. KAA Denee's supporters crossed their fingers, but Xander Wegers was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Wesly Stuyck received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Bass Scheerens tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 18thth minute of the game Wesly Stuyck who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but KAA Denee's Bass Scheerens was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 18 played minutes KAA Denee got a freekick which was hit by Olliver Bastiaens. After having played for 19 minutes, Rik Van Den Broek managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. KVSK Gavere's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rik Van Den Broek was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Pierre-Olivier De Maijer made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Xander Wegers in the 23rd minute of play. In the 23rd minute, Fransesco Lefebre hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Philippe Sulems fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pierre-Olivier De Maijer having to interfere. 27 minutes into the match, Xander Wegers dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Pierre-Olivier De Maijer, 1-0. Pierre-Olivier De Maijer showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Xander Wegers in the 33rd minute of the match. Philippe Sulems blasted a shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Pierre-Olivier De Maijer having to make a save. A collision led to KAA Denee getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Martijn Van Der Straeten hit a great ball. KVSK Gavere were awarded a corner in the 48th minute after KAA Denee's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Rik Van Den Broek took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Rik Van Den Broek got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Bass Scheerens quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

KVSK Gavere's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Rik Van Den Broek in the 54th minute. A nice corner shot did that Rik Van Den Broek got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Bass Scheerens quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. 57 minutes into the game, one of KVSK Gavere:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 64th minute Wesly Stuyck shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bass Scheerens saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. KAA Denee's Bass Scheerens played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wesly Stuyck in the 67th minute of play. Philippe Sulems struck a weak shot in the 71st minute. Pierre-Olivier De Maijer didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for KAA Denee. When Guy Caspers came up free with the goalie in the 74th minute, the KVSK Gavere fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Guy Caspers couldn't finish the play. Philippe Sulems received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Pierre-Olivier De Maijer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 82 minutes into the match, Philippe Sulems notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of KVSK Gavere's Pierre-Olivier De Maijer. Pierre-Olivier De Maijer was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After a defensive mix-up in KVSK Gavere's zone, Philippe Sulems stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pierre-Olivier De Maijer came out of the goal and Philippe Sulems tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Fransesco Lefebre hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. Xander Wegers sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Guy Caspers received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Bass Scheerens tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. For all the effort they put into the match, the KVSK Gavere players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for KAA Denee.
