Bart Sterckmans received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Pierre-Olivier De Maijer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Pierre-Olivier De Maijer showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alan Henderickx in the 12th minute of the match. 26 minutes into the match, Alan Henderickx notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of KVSK Gavere's Pierre-Olivier De Maijer. Pierre-Olivier De Maijer was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 32 minutes into the match, KVSK Gavere's goal looked a bit too open when Bart Sterckmans came free, but Pierre-Olivier De Maijer reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 37th minute, Guy Caspers made a precise shot to the right of Yanniek Kempenaers. Assebroek's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. After 42 played minutes, Assebroek's Rafael Terhorst shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Pierre-Olivier De Maijer came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Assebroek reached it. Wesly Stuyck fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Yanniek Kempenaers having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as KVSK Gavere's Wesly Stuyck slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Yanniek Kempenaers. That made the score 2-2 after 48 minutes of play. The score stood at 2-2 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

If Bart Sterckmans had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Guy Caspers came up free with the goalie in the 61st minute, the KVSK Gavere fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Guy Caspers couldn't finish the play. Matias Van Haerschot charged in rather forcefully in the 62nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Matias Van Haerschot the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Assebroek's Matias Van Haerschot got a free kick in the 63rd minute. Yanniek Kempenaers showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wesly Stuyck, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. After 70 played minutes KVSK Gavere got a freekick which was hit by Matthew Lefevre. Bart Sterckmans sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 82nd minute, Wesly Stuyck managed to get in a good position for a shot. KVSK Gavere's supporters rose to their feet, but Wesly Stuyck was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Yanniek Kempenaers breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 83 minutes into the game, Rafael Terhorst was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Assebroek's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave KVSK Gavere the free kick. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 83rd minute of the game. One of Assebroek:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of KVSK Gavere:s goal. Assebroek's Alan Henderickx got a good chance for a goal in the 89th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Alan Henderickx succeeded in the game's 93rd minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 3-4. Guy Caspers took the ball and in the 97 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Yanniek Kempenaers. Yanniek Kempenaers dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-4. Yanniek Kempenaers showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wesly Stuyck in the 101st minute of the match. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
