If Kim Huijbreghts had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 8 minutes into the game, Arthur Netels was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. RSC Hoegaarden's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Club Bossiere the free kick. Arthur Netels kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. In the 17th match minute, Club Bossiere was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Etienne Uijterhoven to maneuver through the defense. Herald Kersselaers made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ief Van Meerbek in the 20th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Lukas De Fauw during the 21st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, RSC Hoegaarden's Lukas De Fauw got a free kick in the 21st minute. Lukas De Fauw was shown his second yellow card after 23 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Kim Huijbreghts charged in rather forcefully in the 25th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Kim Huijbreghts the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Club Bossiere booed when RSC Hoegaarden was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kim Huijbreghts didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ief Van Meerbek sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Lucien De Ceijser received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Roni Maerschalcx tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 42nd minute, Lucien De Ceijser left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The RSC Hoegaarden fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Dirk Sterkx made a kick off. RSC Hoegaarden's Kim Huijbreghts got his second yellow card of the match in the 52nd minute. The referee ordered Kim Huijbreghts off the ground. If Ief Van Meerbek had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Balthazar Dekens hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. Wouter Van Leemputte hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. In the 67th minute Arthur Netels shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roni Maerschalcx saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Herald Kersselaers made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ief Van Meerbek in the 70th minute. Herald Kersselaers showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dirk Sterkx, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. Ief Van Meerbek who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 74thth minute tested the skills of Herald Kersselaers when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Through an outstanding action, after 89 minutes, Herald Kersselaers successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post.
