Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Anthoon Vercouteren made the kick off which started today's match. In the 9th minute, Corneel Pelegrims got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 11 minutes into the game, Frits Van Deinze lined in a short shot 1-0 behind a frustrated Gilliam Van Hoegaerden. After a defensive mix-up in Roesselberg's zone, Angelo Van Langendonckx stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Corneel Haelemans came out of the goal and Angelo Van Langendonckx tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 23 minutes into the match, Roesselberg's goal looked a bit too open when Anthoon Vercouteren came free, but Corneel Haelemans reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Corneel Haelemans showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Angelo Van Langendonckx, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. The supporters of Roesselberg booed when KFC Vlijtingen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adolf Cheepers didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 27th minute, Corneel Pelegrims managed to get in a good position for a shot. Roesselberg's supporters rose to their feet, but Corneel Pelegrims was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gilliam Van Hoegaerden breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Corneel Haelemans took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Anthoon Vercouteren, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 32nd minute, Christoffel Van der Vorst hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 34th minute, Angelo Van Langendonckx managed to get in a good position for a shot. KFC Vlijtingen's supporters rose to their feet, but Angelo Van Langendonckx was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Corneel Haelemans breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jorge Dierickx charged in rather forcefully in the 37th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jorge Dierickx the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 37th minute, Jorge Dierickx hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Izak Ryers, 38 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Corneel Haelemans made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anthoon Vercouteren in the 44th minute of play. Frits Van Deinze fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gilliam Van Hoegaerden having to interfere. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Frits Van Deinze was the one to do the kick off. Corneel Haelemans was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 54th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Izak Ryers. If Angelo Van Langendonckx had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Anthoon Vercouteren had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Corneel Pelegrims's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gilliam Van Hoegaerden read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 65th minute of play. Angelo Van Langendonckx could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 67th minute of the match, but Corneel Haelemans made a huge save. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Anthoon Vercouteren in the 69th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Corneel Haelemans saved Roesselberg from getting behind. Corneel Pelegrims might have been able to make a better finish in the 72nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gilliam Van Hoegaerden. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Corneel Pelegrims ran back to his position shaking his head. After having played for 74 minutes, Frits Van Deinze managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Roesselberg's supporters crossed their fingers, but Frits Van Deinze was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Adolf Cheepers charged in rather forcefully in the 76th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Adolf Cheepers the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 76 played minutes KFC Vlijtingen got a freekick which was hit by Adolf Cheepers. Frits Van Deinze received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Gilliam Van Hoegaerden tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Frits Van Deinze had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Frits Van Deinze struck a weak shot in the 97th minute. Gilliam Van Hoegaerden didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Roesselberg. Roesselberg's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
