Vlasendaal's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Meix-devant-Virton the free kick. The supporters of Meix-devant-Virton booed when Vlasendaal was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gunther Vogels didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ronald Seveneijnts in the 30th minute of play forced Vlasendaal's goalkeeper Louis Weynants to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arnoud Naegels in the 32nd minute of play forced Meix-devant-Virton's goalkeeper Guillaume Velkeneers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Guilian Van Aerschot charged in rather forcefully in the 34th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Guilian Van Aerschot the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 34th minute, Guilian Van Aerschot hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Constant De Poorter's late challenge caught a Vlasendaal's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. After taking down the ball on Vlasendaal's corner Rolf Roelants fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Guillaume Velkeneers quite easily take care of the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 41st minute, Arnoud Naegels managed to get in a good position for a shot. Vlasendaal's supporters rose to their feet, but Arnoud Naegels was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Guillaume Velkeneers breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Vlasendaal's Arnoud Naegels got a good chance for a goal in the 45th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Meix-devant-Virton's Constant De Poorter got a free kick in the 46th minute. Arnoud Naegels recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 48th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Isidoor Le Lion made a kick off. Gunther Vogels hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. 57 minutes into the game, Willem-Alexander Vermeulen was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Meix-devant-Virton's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Vlasendaal the free kick. Louis Weynants was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Isidoor Le Lion showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-1 in the 72 minute of play. Louis Weynants showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Isidoor Le Lion in the 78th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 80th minute, Manu Tobbackers managed to get in a good position for a shot. Vlasendaal's supporters rose to their feet, but Manu Tobbackers was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Guillaume Velkeneers breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 82 played minutes, Vlasendaal's Rolf Roelants shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Guillaume Velkeneers came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Vlasendaal reached it. Manu Tobbackers sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When Manu Tobbackers came up free with the goalie in the 88th minute, the Vlasendaal fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Manu Tobbackers couldn't finish the play. If Arnoud Naegels had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 93 minutes, Constant De Poorter managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Meix-devant-Virton's supporters crossed their fingers, but Constant De Poorter was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
