Everyone was convinced a goal was close when KAA Veugelberg's Herman Eggermont in the 28th minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Oliver Quvelirs was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for Wulvergem through an amazing save. The KAA Veugelberg players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Wulvergem were winning 0-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Matthy Rondou was the one to do the kick off. Bertan Van Clynenbreugel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ray Gyselinckx having to interfere. In the 55th minute, Dimitri Hennes left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The KAA Veugelberg fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Ray Gyselinckx showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Matthy Rondou in the 59th minute of the match. Herman Eggermont's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Oliver Quvelirs read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 66th minute of play. Ray Gyselinckx stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Matthy Rondou's shot from short distance in the 68th minute. If Bertan Van Clynenbreugel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ray Gyselinckx took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Matthy Rondou, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ray Gyselinckx showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Matthy Rondou, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. Oliver Quvelirs made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dimitri Hennes in the 77th minute of play. 79 minutes into the game, Georges Deschrijver was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Matthy Rondou's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ray Gyselinckx read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 87th minute of play. 90 minutes into the game, Bertan Van Clynenbreugel cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-3. Ray Gyselinckx was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The supporters of Wulvergem booed when KAA Veugelberg was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Herman Eggermont didn't get a good kick on the ball. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Wulvergem walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
