Yvan Vercammen hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. Gert Vranckx received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Kristof De Middeleer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gert Vranckx fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kristof De Middeleer having to interfere. If Gert Vranckx had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The supporters of RSC Frasnes-lez-Anvaing booed when KVSK Letterhoutem was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pierre-Olivier Van Goitsenhoven didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 24th minute, Fabien Vanbuyten got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Yannis Sellekaers fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kenney Dobbelaere having to interfere. KVSK Letterhoutem's Kenney Dobbelaere played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fabien Vanbuyten in the 42nd minute of play. The audience was convinced that Yannis Sellekaers's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Kenney Dobbelaere was relentless in the 44th minute of the game. 47 minutes into the game, RSC Frasnes-lez-Anvaing's Yannis Sellekaers nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Kenney Dobbelaere made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

After having played for 54 minutes, Gert Vranckx managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. KVSK Letterhoutem's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gert Vranckx was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 60 minutes into the match, KVSK Letterhoutem's goalkeeper Kenney Dobbelaere had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Fabien Vanbuyten. After a rather tough play, KVSK Letterhoutem's Julien Maeijnarts got a free kick in the 61st minute. Yannis Sellekaers recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 62nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Christiaan Bernaerts hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. Filip Wijgaert recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 77th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 79 minutes of play, KVSK Letterhoutem's Gert Vranckx made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Kristof De Middeleer was left in no man's land by his defense there! With a little luck, KVSK Letterhoutem's Kenney Dobbelaere got control of the ball when Fabien Vanbuyten tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in KVSK Letterhoutem's zone, Yannis Sellekaers stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kenney Dobbelaere came out of the goal and Yannis Sellekaers tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gert Vranckx in the 94th minute of play forced RSC Frasnes-lez-Anvaing's goalkeeper Kristof De Middeleer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Kristof De Middeleer made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Filip Wijgaert in the 96th minute of play. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The KVSK Letterhoutem fans cheered their team off the field, for while RSC Frasnes-lez-Anvaing had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
