Luuk Sellekaers's late challenge caught a KVSK Letterhoutem's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Luuk Sellekaers helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of KVSK Letterhoutem booed when Grembergen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luuk Sellekaers didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gert Vranckx fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mattijs Declercq having to interfere.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Filip Wijgaert made a kick off. Gert Vranckx could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 53rd minute of the match, but Mattijs Declercq made a huge save. After 54 played minutes KVSK Letterhoutem got a freekick which was hit by Julien Maeijnarts. After some fancy dribbling in the 60th minute, Filip Wijgaert managed to get in a good position for a shot. KVSK Letterhoutem's supporters rose to their feet, but Filip Wijgaert was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mattijs Declercq breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Gert Vranckx's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Mattijs Declercq firmly grabbed it by the left post. Kenney Dobbelaere took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lorenzo Colebinders, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience was convinced that Lorenzo Colebinders's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Kenney Dobbelaere was relentless in the 92nd minute of the game.
