Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) AFC Saint-Hubert's Constantijn Van den Panhuyzen started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 6th minute, Alexander Debruyn made a precise shot to the right of Richard Vrins. AFC Saint-Hubert's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. Ward De Peuter received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Richard Vrins tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Sander Van de Poel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Constantijn Van den Panhuyzen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Alexander Debruyn fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Richard Vrins having to interfere. Sander Van de Poel struck a weak shot in the 29th minute. Bastian Van de Poel didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for AFC Saint-Hubert. Patrik Van Haerschot took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 32nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Richard Vrins. AFC Saint-Hubert's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 34th minute Constantijn Van den Panhuyzen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bastian Van de Poel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sander Van de Poel in the 38th minute of play forced Malegem's goalkeeper Bastian Van de Poel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, AFC Saint-Hubert's Kristiaan Frans got a free kick in the 39th minute. 41 minutes into the game, Sander Van de Poel cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Bastian Van de Poel was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Sander Van de Poel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ward De Peuter stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Constantijn Van den Panhuyzen was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 51st minute. AFC Saint-Hubert's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Yanis Koninckx hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. Niki Cremers fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bastian Van de Poel having to interfere. Teo De Bougne fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Richard Vrins having to interfere. 71 minutes into the game, Malegem's Ward De Peuter nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Richard Vrins made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. If Alexander Debruyn had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Richard Vrins showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alexander Debruyn in the 78th minute of the match. Richard Vrins made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alexander Debruyn in the 80th minute of play. In the 83rd minute, Malegem's Patrik Van Haerschot seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Patrik Van Haerschot the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Malegem protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Patrik Van Haerschot had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 83rd minute, one of Malegem:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Malegem. When the match had been going on for 85 minutes, AFC Saint-Hubert's Kristiaan Frans got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Bastian Van de Poel. 99 minutes into the match, Alexander Debruyn notched a goal, 4-2, to the right of AFC Saint-Hubert's Richard Vrins. Richard Vrins was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Malegem's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
